Through the impossible

Hebrews 11:1-3

We think about trusting God for the impossible, but we also have to trust Him through the impossible.

We feel hindered in our praying at times because all we see and experience at the moment is the impossibility of what we think can never change. All we know is it seems God will never intervene in what hasn’t changed sometimes for years. Other prayers are answered almost instantly or before we’ve even finished bringing the need to God …except this one thing.

In these times, remember to say words of faith – to replace thoughts of fear with thoughts of trust because God does answer prayers. Tell God you trust Him even if you don’t feel that trust in your heart. Doing this helps us focus on what God wants to do, and on His promise to help us through what we cannot make any sense of, through what we cannot imagine could ever turn out for our good.

Remember always, no matter what, to praise Him whether He responds the way you’ve hoped or not.

Praise Him if the answer is yes or no. Easy to do if the answer is no, right? Not always.

It’s not easy especially when the reality of the most difficult and trying circumstances stare us head on, and keep repeating with no apparent change, or even no explanation to help us understand.

This is where we really notice we have very little if any control to effect any change about something we have come to solidly define as impossible. We can even become so startled at what is happening that we cannot confront the problem or find anyone we can entrust it to. It makes so little sense to us, how could we explain it to someone else?

Sometimes these are difficulties only God will deal with.

These very trying experiences are events in our lives God wants our complete trust in the midst of, and our complete attention on Him because He is doing something that He alone wants to do. He sees every bit of what is going on and knows how to handle it. Let Him.

Taking a difficult circumstance as a trial is never easy. We don’t usually know why it’s happening or when it will end.

There are many things we can do in a day’s time to change some of our circumstances and make things turn and seem better. God may have a different plan and we have to remember He is always good. Even through the impossible.

In some things, we must wait for God’s intervention. It may feel like you’re going through the worst thing ever, but He is fully aware of what is happening to you. At times, there are things He wants to occur for a reason not obvious to us and we are to trust Him.

Through the worst, He will do what is good and solve the problem in a way that is in our best interest. God knows our fears and understands why we are asking for help the way we are asking for it. He knows what upsets us more than we do. The way He answers our prayers is with grace and mercy, to give us something good and even better than we asked.

Are you going through something impossible? Talk to God about it even if you have many times already. He is not tired of hearing your prayers. He may be using your impossibility to prepare you to receive what you’ve asked for, or for some type of service. He doesn’t waste our tough times. Impossibilities may seem like wastelands to us. But God is using them to teach us in ways He know we can learn. Don’t give up. Keep trusting Him – through – the impossible.
